Annette AmbuehlPresident BlackRidgeINSURANCE
Annette has over 25 years of experience in the insurance industry both on the company side as a commercial underwriter and on the agency side in sales. Annette currently holds the CPCU (chartered property casualty underwriter) CIC (certified insurance counselor) and ARM (associate in risk management) designations. Annette’s primary focus is on commercial insurance and working with clients to design a program to protect their assets. Annette is an active member in the community and has served on the board of directors for the YWCA, Moorhead Country Club and currently TNT Kids Fitness. Annette also volunteers coaching youth basketball in the winter months along with serving on a committee that raises scholarship money for NDSU women’s athletics.
Erik WeissSales Executive
Erik has worked in the insurance industry since 2010, and specializes in personal and business insurance, as well as life insurance. He works with his clients to find and design insurance programs that fit their unique needs. A graduate of the Safeco Insurance School, Erik is currently working towards his CIC (Certified Insurance Counselor) designation. Outside of work, Erik and his wife are busy raising three young girls (Lennon, Ellis and Laney). He also enjoys helping youth in the community and has volunteered as a youth hockey coach, junior golf instructor, and Sunday school teacher. In his spare time Erik enjoys spending family time at the lakes and playing golf.
Justin StaehrSales Executive
Justin has more than a decade of experience in the insurance industry in various roles from claims to underwriting – most recently, as a business sales specialist. He currently holds the CPCU (Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter) and AIC (Associate in Claims) designations and remains active in continuing education currently working towards completion of the CLU (Chartered Life Underwriter) designation. At BlackRidgeINSURANCE, Justin specializes in commercial and small business insurance, partnering with his clients to ensure their business is adequately protected. He also assists personal lines clients in protecting their assets. Justin spends his weekends in the fall as a Division I football official in the Missouri Valley, Mid-American, and Big 10 Conferences. In addition to his officiating avocation, Justin enjoys spending time with family (Jessica, Henry, George), golfing, and running.
Janice RodeAccount Manager
Jan brings many years of commercial account manager experience to BlackRidgeINSURANCE. She specializes in large commercial accounts and currently holds the CIC (certified insurance counselor) designation. Jan stays active in the community by volunteering at her local church and with the United Way and Salvation Army in various capacities. In her free time, Jan enjoys spending time with her grandchildren, attending baseball games, and camping in the summer.
Julie DispiritoAccount Manager
Julie has been in the insurance business since 2000, holding positions in all areas of an agency. She currently works on personal lines, small business accounts and is the claim manager for BlackRidgeINSURANCE. Julie is currently working on her CISR designation. Julie has spent time volunteering at a local food bank and other non-profit agencies in the community. In her spare time she enjoys watching her son play football and basketball and spending summers at the lake with her family.
